Let’s face it: marketing for a life insurance company is a pretty spooky gig. I mean, who wants to think about death when you’re busy planning a life?
Luckily, we found a way to make the topic a bit more palatable: death, make it cute. Exhibit A: Grimmy, our mascot and friendly neighborhood grim reaper.
Through brand voice and our visual language, we leaned into the Millennial brand of dark, self-aware, cutesy humor, creating a brand identity that was easy to use, easy to understand, and reminded you of who and why you’re getting a life insurance policy in the first place: a life well-lived for you, and for your loved ones.
